The Organizing Committee of SIBIC2018, the VII Congress of the Iberian Society of Ichthyology, is
pleased to announce the opening of the inscriptions and submission of abstracts, beginning on
November 6, 2018. We remind you that the event will take place in Faro between 12 and 16 June
2018.
After the invitation, this first announcement aims to mark the beginning of the participatory process
and to provide more detailed information about the program, activities, registration and presentation
of abstracts. Thus the Organizing Committee invites all those interested to submit proposals for
communications that address any question related to the following topics:
- Systematics, Phylogeography and Evolution, and Population genetics
- Physiology, Endocrinology, Immunology and Toxicology
- Fish Behavior and Welfare
- Migration, connectivity and regulated rivers
- Life cycles, Ecology and Conservation of freshwater fishes
- Life cycles, Ecology and Conservation of marine and estuarine fishes
- Elasmobranchs and Highly migratory oceanic fish
- Non‐native or invasive species and Climate Change
- Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture
- Habitat conservation or restoration and Marine Protected Areas
- Fish models, Biotechnology and ‐omics
- Fish, Science and Society ‐ Public awareness and Citizen science
